How many images will I receive?
A very good question and it depends on the subject and the type of
shoot. It is always a question that should
be asked and we'll agree on this prior to the shoot.
How will I get my images after the shoot?
Proof images for you to make your final image
selections from will be uploaded to a website and
you'll be sent a hidden link known only to you.
What happens if we don't like the photos?
Thankfully not something that happens often.
When on a shoot I will give my clients previews of the
images on-camera, so any corrections to the way the
images are taken can be made during the shoot.
Do you airbrush your photos?
I have a process that takes the original file to a
final finished image. I often make adjustments
for colour balance, saturation, contrast, exposure and
can even give the skin a more pleasing softer
look. When required I do airbrush specks of dust
out of an image, but what I do not do, and never will
do is do any major airbrushing to slim or make someone
look younger. With my work, what you see is what
you get.
How long do you keep the files for?
During the selection process I keep three copies of
the image files. Once you have made your final
image selections and the images have been delivered the
files are archived. To date I have yet to loose
any client image files, however you should keep your
own back ups of your images.
What camera do you use?
I work exclusively with Canon digital SLR
equipment. I have several SLR bodies (so there is
always a backup camera close by should one fail).
For 90% of my work I am shooting with Canon L lens (the
best Canon lens you can buy).
Are you a member of any professional
associations?
Short answer, no, I'm not. I've yet to see
the benefits of any.
Where did you get the hat?
Tilley.com
Who owns copyright to the images?
It is normal that the photographer keeps copyright
on the images. However I always allow my clients to use their final images for any promotional use as
they see fit. If however images are to be sold to
a magazine or other publication then we'll discuss as
and when required.
